Blessed Beginnings Homebirth was the name of my former midwifery practice. As my work has grown and evolved, my practice has too.
Today, you’ll find me at MATRIA Holistic Midwifery, serving women and families throughout the Kansas City area with relationship-based homebirth care.
The name has changed, but much of what mattered about the practice hasn’t: individualized care, informed choice, respect for physiologic birth, and the belief that women deserve to be supported rather than managed through pregnancy and birth.
MATRIA has also grown to better reflect the work I do now, including bodywork throughout pregnancy and postpartum, support for breech presentation, and individualized care for families whose pregnancies or birth plans may fall a little outside the usual boxes.
